Weekday Preschool Teacher

We are now accepting applications for the full-time position of Weekday Preschool Teacher. The purpose of the Weekday Preschool Program at First Baptist Church is to provide an age-appropriate Christian education program for the families in our church and community to serve as an outreach arm of the church to the community. We are looking for someone who has a heart for ministry and who possesses the gifts and skills required to serve in the areas of early childhood education with an emphasis on meeting the spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children.

Job requirements and qualifications:
- Proficient with planning and implementing activities, incorporating approved curriculum
- Comfortable interacting with and informing caretakers and parents of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Ability to supervise several children
- High level of excellence in communication skills and attention-to-detail
- A cooperative spirit and a willingness to work with other staff on projects and various preschool and event tasks
- Experience in the field of early childhood education is highly preferred
